One Seam Consulting started as the brainchild of our founder, Evelyn Denise. Evelyn worked in the creative arts field during her time in college, where she earned her degree in Managerial Marketing in 2010. Kent State is where the ‘fashion bug’ bit her. She worked with various designers and models in Cleveland and the surrounding area. She decided she wanted to make fashion a career, so she enrolled in Virginia Marti College of Art Design in the fall of 2011.
At Virginia Marti, she was nurtured and encouraged to pursue entrepreneurship as she pursued her dreams in fashion. After graduating from VMCAD in 2013, Evelyn continued her work with fashion show production and model management. Great Lakes Fashion Week, Fashion Week Cleveland, Curve the Runway, and He Loves Curves Fashion Show are just some of the fashion shows that Evelyn had the opportunity to be a part of. In August of 2016, she reached out to her good friend Nobles Darby IV to help with a business idea and thus, One Seam Consulting was born. In 2018, She was named Stage Director for Ohio Fashion Week and in 2019 she was appointed as one of the leads for Ohio Fashion Week.
